Bawdsey Manor is located in an area of outstanding natural beauty on the Suffolk Coast where the river Deben meets the sea. Staying at our centre you are free to explore the 150 acres of grounds that include part of a Red Crag Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and a variety of different habitats. Bawdsey Estate offers schools and groups many opportunities for independent fieldwork at all levels to develop skills in data collection, handling and analysis for a variety of courses.
We offer full board, youth hostel style accommodation and lesson plans for project work and ideas for activities on site. Visiting groups can have access, by prior arrangement, to classrooms, a computer room with internet access, a science lab and sports facilities. Water sports are available at an additional charge. You can also use Bawdsey Manor as a base to explore the surrounding Suffolk countryside and coast.
